Cheshire East Local Plan Proposed Changes Version Consultation    March 4, 2016

Cheshire East Council has published its ‘Local Plan Strategy – Proposed Changes Version’ and accompanying documents for public consultation. This follows Inspector Stephen J Pratt issuing his Further Interim Views  in December 2015, following the second set of examination hearings on the Local Plan Strategy (LPS) held between 21 and 30 October 2015. These address the additional evidence produced by the Council during the previous suspension of the examination and its implications for the submitted LPS.

Representations should specify why the Plan is not legally compliant or is unsound and what modifications would be needed to make it legally compliant or sound.

In terms of legal compliance, this is essentially whether the Local Plan Strategy with the Proposed Changes meets the requirements of planning legislation and associated regulations. This includes the need to provide reports relating to Sustainability Appraisal and Habitats Regulations Assessment.

Documents are available to view online at  www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/localplan. Stakeholders can also view PDF files of all the above documents as well as printed copies at Cheshire East Council's headquarters at Westfields, Middlewich Road, Sandbach; the Customer Service Centres, libraries, and the Planning Helpdesk, Municipal Buildings, Crewe.

All forms must be completed online or received by the Spatial Planning Team, Cheshire East Council, Westfields, C/O Municipal Buildings, Earle Street,  Crewe, CW1 2BJ by 5pm on 19th April 2016. Representations submitted after this time will not be accepted. Please note that anonymous representations cannot be accepted.

Please also note that all representations received will be published and able to be viewed by the public.
