   Cheshire East Council Opens Consultation on Adlington Neighbourhood Area    December 23, 2013

A Neighbourhood Plan is a means to help shape development in local communities.

Adlington Parish Council, as a relevant body, has submitted proposals to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish of Adlington.

The application meets the requirements of the planning regulations (Neighbourhood Planning (General) 2012 Regulations) and contains:

A map which identifies the area to which the area application relates. This is all land contained within the parish boundary of Adlington;

  • A statement explaining why this area is considered appropriate to be designated as a neighbourhood area; and
  • A statement that the organisation or body making the area application is a relevant body for the purposes of section 61G of the 1990 Act.

The submitted proposals can be viewed on www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/localplan

Cheshire East Council is holding a six week consultation to determine whether the proposed neighbourhood area is suitable for the creation of a Neighbourhood Plan for Adlington. The consultation starts on 23rd December 2013 and closes on 3rd February 2014.
